When viewing your dashboard, the story count reflects the total number of unique news stories and press releases. If a news story or press release has similar articles, it is counted only once as a unique news story.

However, in the metrics dashboard, all articles, including similar or duplicate ones, are counted. Additionally, press releases are calculated separately from news stories.

Example: Cloudflare

  1. In the expanded view of the dashboard, Cloudflare shows 4 unique news stories. The last story has 6 similar articles, but they are only counted as one unique story.

  2. In the metrics dashboard, Cloudflare’s total count is 10: 4 unique stories plus the 6 similar articles.

Example: RTX

  1. The expanded view shows 3 unique news stories for RTX. The last article is a press release with 1 similar article.

  2. In the metrics dashboard, RTX shows 2 news stories and 2 press releases because both the original press release and the similar article are counted separately as press releases.
